The SELL sell (Catalog #MBS840167) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The L-Selectin / CD62L Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s L-Selectin/CD62L can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunohistochemistry (IHC).The antibody can be used for Western blotting (0.5-4 ug/ml). Based on researchers feedback, it can also be used in immunoprecipitation (10-20 ug/ml) and immunohistochemistry (10-20 ug/ml). However, the optimal concentrations should be determined individually. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SELL sell for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The SELL sell product has the following accession number(s) (GI #262206315) (NCBI Accession #NP_000646.2) (Uniprot Accession #P14151). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the L-Selectin / CD62L Antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Testing Data (Western blot analysis of L-Selectin expression in Jurkat cell lysate.)
Background: Selectins are a family of carbohydrate-binding proteins involved in mediating cellular interactions with leukocytes. E-Selectin (also called ELMA-1) expressed on endothelial cells. L-Selectin (also called LECAM-1) is expressed on the majority of B and nave T cells and on most monocytes, neurophils and eosinophils. P-Selectin (also called GMP-140) expressed on activated platelets and endothelial cells. Selectins interact with specific carbohydrates expressed by activated endothelial cells, monocytes, and neutrophils.
Immunogen: Synthetic peptide surrounding amino acid 69 of human L-Selectin. Handling: The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing SELL are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as SELL may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. SELL also interacts with the following gene(s): CD4, CD8A, ITGAM, SELE, SELPLG, TNF. Carcinoma, Hepatocellular, Fever, Gastrointestinal Diseases, Heart Diseases, Inflammation, Kidney Diseases, Liver Diseases, Lung Diseases, Necrosis, Pain are some of the diseases may be linked to L-Selectin / CD62L Antibody.
