|The SERPINA6 serpina6 (Catalog #MBS610308) is an Antibody produced from Goat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The SERPINA6 (Serine/Cysteine Proteinase Inhibitor, Clade A, Member 6, Corticosteroid-Binding Globulin, CBG, Transcortin) reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s SERPINA6 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC).
Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry and Direct ELISA.
Dilution: Western Blot: 0.1-0.2ug/ml detects mouse Serpin 6. Detection limit for recombinant mouse Serpin 6 is ~0.5ng/ml under non-reducing and reducing conditions.
Immunohistochemistry: 5-15ug/ml detects mouse Serpin 6 in cells and tissues.
Direct ELISA: 0.5-1ug/ml detects mouse Serpin 6. Detection limit for recombinant mouse Serpin 6 is ~0.5ng/well. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SERPINA6 serpina6 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The SERPINA6 serpina6 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #34785976) (Uniprot Accession #P08185). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Serpin A6 (also known as corticosteroid-binding globulin/CBG and Transcortin) is a 50-60kD, secreted glycoprotein member of the serpin family of protease inhibitors. It is produced by hepatocytes and transports >90% of circulating cortisol. Although Serpin A6 is a serpin family member, it shows no protease inhibition. Mature mouse Serpin A6 is 375aa in length.
Immunogen: Recombinant corresponding to aa23-397 from mouse Serpin A6, expressed in NSO cells (Accession # Q06770). Species Sequence Homology: rat; 78% and human; 57%. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing SERPINA6 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as SERPINA6 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Heart, Kidney, Liver, Ovary tissues are correlated with this protein. CORTICOSTEROID-BINDING GLOBULIN DEFICIENCY, Hypertension, Inflammation, Liver Diseases, Muscular Diseases, Neoplasms, Nervous System Diseases, Obesity, Pain, Sleep Disorders are some of the diseases may be linked to SERPINA6 (Serine/Cysteine Proteinase Inhibitor, Clade A, Member 6, Corticosteroid-Binding Globulin, CBG, Transcortin).
