The SERPINB8 serpinb8 (Catalog #MBS614406) is an Antibody produced from Goat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The SERPINB8 (Serine/Cysteine Proteinase Inhibitor, Clade B, Member 8, NK10, PI8) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s SERPINB8 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunoprecipitation (IP).Suitable for use in Immunoprecipitation, Western Blot and ELISA. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SERPINB8 serpinb8 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The SERPINB8 serpinb8 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #73623033) (NCBI Accession #NP_001027018.1) (Uniprot Accession #Q8N178). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Serpin B8 (serine proteinase inhibitor-clade B #8; also PI8) is a 42-45 kD, cytoplasmic and secreted member of the ovalbumin (clade B)-subfamily, Serpin superfamily of protease inhibitors. It is produced by multiple cell types and shows inhibitory activity towards furin and other proteinases such as chymotrypsin. Human Serpin B8 is 374 amino acids (aa) in length. Although it has no signal sequence, it is released by platelets. The active inhibitor site lies between Arg336 and Arg342. One potential isoform shows a 2 aa substitution for the C-terminal 134 amino acids. Full length human Serpin B8 shares 78% and 83% aa identity with mouse and canine Serpin B8, respectively.
Immunogen: Sf21-derived recombinant human Serpin B8 (aa2-374) Accession # NP_942130. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing SERPINB8 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as SERPINB8 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. SERPINB8 also interacts with the following gene(s): FURIN. Adrenal Gland Neoplasms, Breast Neoplasms, Carcinoma, Fibrosis, Inflammation, Neoplasms, Pancreatic Neoplasms, Prostatic Neoplasms, Psoriasis, Thyroid Neoplasms are some of the diseases may be linked to SERPINB8 (Serine/Cysteine Proteinase Inhibitor, Clade B, Member 8, NK10, PI8). Bone, Brain, Embryonic Tissue, Heart, Kidney, Lung, Muscle, Pancreas, Pharynx, Skin tissues are correlated with this protein.
