The SIGLEC11 siglec11 (Catalog #MBS151287) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Siglec11 Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Siglec11 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunofluorescence (IF).Siglec11 antibody can be used for detection of Siglec11 by Western blot at 1 mug/mL. Despite its predicted size, Siglec11 migrates at a higher than expected molecular weight in SDS-PAGE. Antibody can also be used for immunohistochemistry starting at 5 mug/mL. For immunofluorescence start at 20 mug/mL. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SIGLEC11 siglec11 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The SIGLEC11 siglec11 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #205830470) (NCBI Accession #NP_443116) (Uniprot Accession #Q96RL6). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the Siglec11 Antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western blot analysis of Siglec11 in HepG2 cell lysate with Siglec11 antibody at 1 μg/mL.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Immunohistochemistry of Siglec11 in human liver tissue with Siglec11 antibody at 5 μg/mL.)
Immunofluorescence (IF) (Immunofluorescence of SIGLEC11 in human liver tissue with SIGLEC11 antibody at 20 μg/mL.)
Siglec11 Antibody: Siglecs are sialic acid-binding lectins of the immunoglobulin superfamily that are mainly expressed in cells of the hematopoietic system. Siglec11 is unlike other siglecs in that it binds specifically to alpha2-8-linked sialic acids and is not found in peripheral blood leukocytes but instead on macrophages of various tissues. Siglec11 is highly homologous to Siglec10 over their extracellular domain but not over their cytoplasmic domain, suggesting that Siglec11 arose through gene duplication followed by a recombination event involving another ancestral siglec gene. Following treatment of Siglec11-transfected cells with pervanadate, Siglec11 becomes tyrosine-phosphorylated and strongly associates with SHP-1 and SHP-2. At least five isoforms of Siglec11 are known to exist. Siglec11 antibody will not cross-react with Siglec10.
Conjugate: Unconjugated
Immunogen: Siglec11 antibody was raised against an 18 amino acid synthetic peptide from near the carboxy terminus of human Siglec11.
Buffer: Siglec11 Antibody is supplied in PBS containing 0.02% sodium azide. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing SIGLEC11 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as SIGLEC11 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
