The SIRT4 sirt4 (Catalog #MBS2529703) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The SIRT4 Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s SIRT4 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC).IHC: 1:25-1:100. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SIRT4 sirt4 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The SIRT4 sirt4 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #28571445) (NCBI Accession #NP_572241.2). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

This gene encodes a member of the sirtuin family of proteins, homologs to the yeast Sir2 protein. Members of the sirtuin family are characterized by a sirtuin core domain and grouped into four classes. The functions of human sirtuins have not yet been determined; however, yeast sirtuin proteins are known to regulate epigenetic gene silencing and suppress recombination of rDNA. Studies suggest that the human sirtuins may function as intracellular regulatory proteins with mono-ADP-ribosyltransferase activity.
Immunogen: Synthetic peptide of human SIRT4. Buffer: PBS with 0.05% sodium azide, 50% glycerol, pH7.3. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing SIRT4 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as SIRT4 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Abnormalities, Drug-Induced, Brain Diseases, Fatty Liver, Heart Diseases, Hypoglycemia, Inflammation, Kidney Diseases, Lung Diseases, Necrosis, Proteinuria are some of the diseases may be linked to SIRT4 Polyclonal Antibody. SIRT4 also interacts with the following gene(s): Gdh, Sirt2, Sirt6. Fat Body, Whole Body tissues are correlated with this protein.
