The SLC22A5 slc22a5 (Catalog #MBS2518769) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The SLC22A5 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s SLC22A5 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunofluorescence (IF). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SLC22A5 slc22a5 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The SLC22A5 slc22a5 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #4507005) (NCBI Accession #NP_003051.1). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the SLC22A5 Antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western blot analysis of extracts of various cell lines, using SLC22A5 antibody.)
Immunofluorescence (IF) (Immunofluorescence analysis of MCF7 cell using SLC22A5 antibody. Blue: DAPI for nuclear staining.)
Polyspecific organic cation transporters in the liver, kidney, intestine, and other organs are critical for elimination of many endogenous small organic cations as well as a wide array of drugs and environmental toxins. The encoded protein is a plasma integral membrane protein which functions both as an organic cation transporter and as a sodium-dependent high affinity carnitine transporter. The encoded protein is involved in the active cellular uptake of carnitine. Mutations in this gene are the cause of systemic primary carnitine deficiency (CDSP), an autosomal recessive disorder manifested early in life by hypoketotic hypoglycemia and acute metabolic decompensation, and later in life by skeletal myopathy or cardiomyopathy. Santa Cruz Alternative: Potential replacement for Santa Cruz Biotechnology antibody catalog# sc-19822. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing SLC22A5 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as SLC22A5 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. SLC22A5 also interacts with the following gene(s): ATG16L1, DLG5, IL23R, NOD2, P4HA2, PDZK1, SLC47A1, SLC9A3R1.
