The SPAG5 spag5 (Catalog #MBS2517883) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The SPAG5 Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s SPAG5 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC).
IHC: 1:25-1:100. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SPAG5 spag5 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.

The SPAG5 spag5 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #73623035) (NCBI Accession #NP_006452.3). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the SPAG5 Polyclonal Antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Immunohistochemistry of paraffin-embedded Human liver cancer tissue using SPAG5 Polyclonal Antibody at dilution 1:25)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) SPAG5.

Sperm-associated antigen 5 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SPAG5 gene. This gene encodes a protein associated with the mitotic spindle apparatus. The encoded protein may be involved in the functional and dynamic regulation of mitotic spindles. Essential component of the mitotic spindle required for normal chromosome segregation and progression into anaphase. Required for chromosome alignment, normal timing of sister chromatid segregation, and maintenance of spindle pole architecture. The astrin (SPAG5)-kinastrin (SKAP) complex promotes stable microtubule-kinetochore attachments.

Immunogen: Recombinant protein of human SPAG5. Buffer: PBS with 0.05% sodium azide, 50% glycerol, pH7.3. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing SPAG5 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as SPAG5 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. SPAG5 also interacts with the following gene(s): AURKA, BUB1. Breast Neoplasms, Fetal Death, Infertility, Female, Infertility, Male, Inflammation, Kidney Diseases, Liver Diseases, Lung Diseases, Lung Neoplasms, Neoplasms, Experimental are some of the diseases may be linked to SPAG5 Polyclonal Antibody. Blood, Brain, Embryonic Tissue, Eye, Intestine, Kidney, Liver, Lymph, Lymph Node, Testis tissues are correlated with this protein.
