The Src src (Catalog #MBS625176) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The SRC, phosphorylated (Tyr215) (Proto-oncogene Tyrosine-protein Kinase Src, p60-Src, c-Src, Proto-oncogene c-Src, pp60c-src, SRC1) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s SRC can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB).Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot.
Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000
Western Blot: 1:100-1:500. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Src src for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The Src src product has the following accession number(s) (GI #62635494) (NCBI Accession #AAX90616.1) (Uniprot Accession #P05480). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the SRC, phosphorylated (Tyr215) (Proto-oncogene Tyrosine-protein Kinase Src, p60-Src, c-Src, Proto-oncogene c-Src, pp60c-src, SRC1) with the following immunoassay(s):
Testing Data (FG Pancreatic Carcinoma Cell Lines stably expressing vector along (FG-V) the b3 integrin subunit (FG-b3) or a b3 truncation mutant (FG-759x). Phospho-Src-Y215 Antibody (AP3253a) was diluted 1:500 in 1% BSA/TBST and incubated Overnight at 4)
This gene is highly similar to the v-src gene of Rous sarcoma virus. This proto-oncogene may play a role in the regulation of embryonic development and cell growth. The protein encoded by this gene is a tyrosine-protein kinase whose activity can be inhibited by phosphorylation by c-SRC kinase. Mutations in this gene could be involved in the malignant progression of colon cancer. Two transcript variants encoding the same protein have been found for this gene. Transcript Variant: This variant (1) represents the longer transcript. Both isoforms 1 and 2 encode the same protein.
Immunogen: Synthetic phosphopeptide corresponding to amino acid residues surrounding Tyr215 of human Src (KLH). In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing Src are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as Src may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
