The TACR3 tacr3 (Catalog #MBS222943) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The RABBIT ANTI TACR3 reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s TACR3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistology Paraffin*, Western Blot (WB).Western Blot: This item detects a band of approximately 46kDa in RAW264.7 cell lysates.
Immunohistology - Paraffin: Maximum Dilution: 5ug/ml; Application Note: This product requires antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections. Sodium citrate buffer pH 6.0 is recommended for this purpose.
Western Blotting: Minimum Dilution: 0.5; Maximum Dilution: 1.0ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TACR3 tacr3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The TACR3 tacr3 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #7669548) (NCBI Accession #NP_001050.1) (Uniprot Accession #P29371). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the RABBIT ANTI TACR3 with the following immunoassay(s):
Testing Data #1 (Western blot analysis of whole cell lysate from RAW264.7 mouse macrophage cells probed with Rabbit anti Human TACR3 (MBS222943) at 0.5(A) and 2(B) ug/ml)
Testing Data #2 (Formalin fixed, paraffin embedded human brain with Rabbit anti Human TACR3 (MBS222943) following heat mediated antigen retrieval using sodium citrate buffer (pH6.0))
MBS222943 recognises human TACR3 otherwise known as NK3 Receptor (NK3R), a 52.2 kDa multi-pass membrane protein belonging to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family. TACR3 is a receptor for the tachykinin neuropeptide, neuromedin-k otherwise known as neurokinin B and is highly expressed in the supraoptic and paraventricular nuclei. Following binding of its ligand, NK3R activates a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system, and it is likely that these signals lead to the release of vasopressin and oxytocin into the circulation. Studies with mice indicate that TACR3 is involved in learning and memory. MBS222943 does not recognise NK1R or NK2R.
Perservative Stabilisers: 0.02% Sodium Azide (NaN3). Immunogen: An 18 amino acid peptide from near the centre of human TACR3.
Histology Positive Control Tissue: Human brain
Buffer Solution: Phosphate buffered saline
Antiserum Preparation: Antiserum to human TACR3 was raised by repeated immunisation of rabbits with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG was prepared from whole serum by affinity chromatography.
Target Species: Human. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing TACR3 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as TACR3 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
