The TARDBP tardbp (Catalog #MBS621586) is an Antibody produced from Goat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The TARDBP (TAR DNA Binding Protein, ALS10, TDP-43, OTTHUMP00000002171, TAR DNA-binding protein-43) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s TARDBP can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB).Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot.
Dilution: Peptide ELISA: 1:16,000
Western Blot: 0.3-1ug/ml Detects ~45kD band in human Jurkat cell lysates. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TARDBP tardbp for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The TARDBP tardbp product has the following accession number(s) (GI #49065494) (Uniprot Accession #Q13148). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the TARDBP (TAR DNA Binding Protein, ALS10, TDP-43, OTTHUMP00000002171, TAR DNA-binding protein-43) with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western Blot of Jurkat lysate (35ug protein in RIPA buffer) using MBS621586 (0.3ug/ml). Primary incubation was 1 hour. Detected by chemiluminescence.)
TARDBP was identified as the disease accumulating protein in patients with frontotemporal lobar degeneration (FTLD) with ubiquitin inclusions (FTLD-U) and in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). TARDBP functions as a DNA-binding protein and specifically binds to the TAR DNA sequence motifs of HIV. Via this association with TAR motifs, TARDBP acts as a transcriptional repressor and inhibits HIV-1 transcription. In addition, this protein regulates alternate splicing of the cystic fibrosis transmembrane receptor (CFTR) gene.
Immunogen: Synthetic peptide corresponding to HISNAEPKHNSNRQ from the internal region of human TARDBP (Accession #NP_031401). In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing TARDBP are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as TARDBP may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, Infertility, Male, Inflammation, Lung Diseases, Obesity, Occupational Diseases are some of the diseases may be linked to TARDBP (TAR DNA Binding Protein, ALS10, TDP-43, OTTHUMP00000002171, TAR DNA-binding protein-43). Blood, Bone, Brain, Connective Tissue, Embryonic Tissue, Heart, Muscle, Nerve, Prostate, Testis tissues are correlated with this protein.
