The TCEB1 tceb1 (Catalog #MBS644796) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The TCEB1, CT (TCEB1, Transcription elongation factor B polypeptide 1, Elongin 15kD subunit, Elongin-C, RNA polymerase II transcription factor SIII subunit C, SIII p15) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s TCEB1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC).Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, ELISA
Dilution:
Western Blot: 1:1000
Immunohistochemistry: 1:10-50. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TCEB1 tceb1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The TCEB1 tceb1 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #325652048) (NCBI Accession #NP_001191793.1) (Uniprot Accession #Q15369). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the TCEB1, CT (TCEB1, Transcription elongation factor B polypeptide 1, Elongin 15kD subunit, Elongin-C, RNA polymerase II transcription factor SIII subunit C, SIII p15) with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western Blot analysis in Jurkat cell line lysates (35ug/lane) using MBS644796. This demonstrates the TCEB1 antibody detected the TCEB1 protein (arrow).)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Immunohistochemistry analysis in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded human prostate carcinoma using MBS644796 followed by peroxidase conjugation of the secondary antibody and DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of MBS644796 for immunohistochemistry.)
This gene encodes the protein elongin C, which is a subunit of the transcription factor B (SIII) complex. The SIII complex is composed of elongins A/A2, B and C. It activates elongation by RNA polymerase II by suppressing transient pausing of the polymerase at many sites within transcription units. Elongin A functions as the transcriptionally active component of the SIII complex, whereas elongins B and C are regulatory subunits. Elongin A2 is specifically expressed in the testis, and capable of forming a stable complex with elongins B and C. The von Hippel-Lindau tumor suppressor protein binds to elongins B and C, and thereby inhibits transcription elongation.
Immunogen: TCEB1 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 68-98 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human TCEB1
UniProt Accession #: NP_005639.1; Q15369; P83941; P83940; Q2K114. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing TCEB1 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as TCEB1 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
