The TH th (Catalog #MBS6003741) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Tyrosine Hydroxylase, Phosphorylated (Ser40) (TH, TYH, Tyrosine 3 Hydroxylase, Tyrosine 3 Monooxygenase) reacts with Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Tyrosine Hydroxylase can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunofluorescence (IF).Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
Dilution: Immunofluorescence: 1:1000
Western Blot: 1:1000
Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 5ug/ml
Immunohistochemistry (Frozen): 1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TH th for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The TH th product has the following accession number(s) (GI #986909) (NCBI Accession #AAA77650.1) (Uniprot Accession #P07101). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the Tyrosine Hydroxylase, Phosphorylated (Ser40) (TH, TYH, Tyrosine 3 Hydroxylase, Tyrosine 3 Monooxygenase) with the following immunoassay(s):
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Human Adrenal (formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded) stained with TH antibody at 5ug/ml followed by biotinylated goat rabbit IgG secondary antibody alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen.)
Western Blot (WB) (Western blot of recombinant phospho- and dephospho-TH showing selective immunolabeling by the phospho-specific antibody of the ~60k TH phosphorylated at Ser40.)
Tyrosine hydroxylase in involved in the conversion of phenylalanine to dopamine. It is the rate-limiting enzyme in the synthesis of catecholamines and as such has a key role in the physiology of adrenergic neurons. TH is encoded by four distinct mRNAs produced by alternative splicing of a single primary transcript. Expression of the mRNAs varies in different parts of the nervous system. Defects in TH are the cause of autosomal recessive Segawa syndrome.
Immunogen: Synthetic phosphopeptide corresponding to residues surrounding the phosphoSer40 of rat tyrosine hydroxylase. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing TH are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as TH may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Brain Diseases, Cardiovascular Diseases, Heart Diseases, Hypertension, Inflammation, Kidney Diseases, Necrosis, Neoplasms, Nervous System Diseases, Pain are some of the diseases may be linked to Tyrosine Hydroxylase, Phosphorylated (Ser40) (TH, TYH, Tyrosine 3 Hydroxylase, Tyrosine 3 Monooxygenase).
