The TIMP1 timp1 (Catalog #MBS535728) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The TIMP1 antibody reacts with Human TIMP1 and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s TIMP1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Inhibition, Western Blot (WB).ELISA: 0.5-2 ug/ml
Inhibition: 5 ug/ml
WB: 0.1-0.2 ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TIMP1 timp1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The TIMP1 timp1 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #546974) (NCBI Accession #AAB30892.1) (Uniprot Accession #P20414). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Affinity purified Rabbit polyclonal TIMP1 antibody.
Biological Significance: TIMP1 is an extracellular inhibitor of MMPs (see above) including MMP1, 2, 3, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, and 16. It belongs to the I35 (TIMP) family of irreversible protease inhibitors that function as key modulators of extracellular matrix degradation during tissue development and remodeling. TIMP1 can also act through an MMP-independent mechanism to promote erythropoiesis by stimulating proliferation and differentiation of erythroid progenitors. Immunogen: TIMP1 antibody was raised in rabbit using highly pure recombinant human TIMP-1 as the immunogen. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing TIMP1 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as TIMP1 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Cardiovascular Diseases, Disease Models, Animal, Female Urogenital Diseases, Fibrosis, Heart Diseases, Inflammation, Liver Cirrhosis, Liver Diseases, Necrosis, Vascular Diseases are some of the diseases may be linked to TIMP1 antibody. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Adipose Tissue, Brain, Cartilage, Kidney, Liver, Lung, Ovary, Pancreas, Skin, Uterus tissues are correlated with this protein. TIMP1 also interacts with the following gene(s): MMP-3, MMP1, MMP13, MMP14, MMP15, MMP2, MMP9, SERPINE1, TGFB1.
