The TMEM43 tmem43 (Catalog #MBS6005589) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The TMEM43, ID (TMEM43, Transmembrane protein 43, Protein LUMA) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s TMEM43 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC).Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, ELISA
Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000
Western Blot: 1:100-500
Immunohistochemistry: 1:10-50. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TMEM43 tmem43 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The TMEM43 tmem43 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #13236587) (NCBI Accession #NP_077310.1) (Uniprot Accession #Q9BTV4). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the TMEM43, ID (TMEM43, Transmembrane protein 43, Protein LUMA) with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (TMEM43 Antibody (Center) western blot analysis in MDA-MB231 cell line lysates (35ug/lane).This demonstrates the TMEM43 antibody detected the TMEM43 protein (arrow).)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (TMEM43 Antibody (Center) immunohistochemistry analysis in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded human esophageal carcinoma followed by peroxidase conjugation of the secondary antibody and DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of TMEM43 Antibody (Center) for immunohistochemistry. Clinical relevance has not been evaluated.)
This gene belongs to the TMEM43 family. Defects in this gene are the cause of familial arrhythmogenic right ventricular dysplasia type 5 (ARVD5), also known as arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy type 5 (ARVC5). Arrhythmogenic right ventricular dysplasia is an inherited disorder, often involving both ventricles, and is characterized by ventricular tachycardia, heart failure, sudden cardiac death, and fibrofatty replacement of cardiomyocytes. This gene contains a response element for PPAR gamma (an adipogenic transcription factor), which may explain the fibrofatty replacement of the myocardium, a characteristic pathological finding in ARVC.
Immunogen: TMEM43 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 194-223 amino acids from the Central region of human TMEM43. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing TMEM43 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as TMEM43 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
