The TNC tnc (Catalog #MBS5300374) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. MyBioSource\'s Tenascin can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Paraffin.Optimal conditions to be determined by the end user. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TNC tnc for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The TNC tnc product has the following accession number(s) (GI #153946395) (NCBI Accession #NP_002151.2). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the Tenascin antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Immunohistochemistry of paraffin-embedded section of Rat Brain Tissue)
Western Blot (WB) (Lane 1:Rat Brain Tissue Lysate; Lane 2:Rat Brain Tissue Lysate; Lane 3:Mouse Brain Tissue Lysate; Lane 4:Mouse Brain Tissue Lysate)
Affinity purified Mouse polyclonal Tenascin antibody.
Biological Significance: Tenascin/hexabrachion/cytotactin is an extracellular matrix glycoprotein, widely expressed during embryogenesis. In adults, it is restricted to certain epithelial-stromal interfaces and increases markedly in hyperproliferative diseases and in stroma of many neoplasms, including gliomas, breast, squamous and lung carcinomas. Immunogen: Tenascin antibody was raised in Rabbit using a synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence at the C-terminal of human Tenascin R, identical to the related rat and Rabbit sequences, as the immunogen. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing TNC are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as TNC may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. TNC also interacts with the following gene(s): CNTN1, EGFR, FGF2, MMP3, NPSR1, PAX6, PTK2, RHOA, SDC4. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Bone, Bone Marrow, Brain, Connective Tissue, Embryonic Tissue, Heart, Liver, Lung, Muscle, Skin tissues are correlated with this protein. Brain Diseases, Breast Neoplasms, Cardiovascular Diseases, Disease Models, Animal, Fibrosis, Heart Diseases, Inflammation, Lung Diseases, Necrosis, Nervous System Diseases are some of the diseases may be linked to Tenascin antibody.
