The TNP tnp (Catalog #MBS835132) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The TNP antibody reacts with Reacts with TNP conjugated to proteins; it also reacts with proteins conjugaed to dinitrophenol. and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s TNP can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), ELISA (EIA).ELISA: 1:6000-1:24000
IHC: 1:50-1:200
This TNP antibody is also available in a pre-diluted ready-to-use format expecially for IHC under catalog no. 75R-1056. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TNP tnp for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The TNP tnp product has the following accession number(s) (GI #42761437) (NCBI Accession #NP_976282.1) (Uniprot Accession #Q7DI54). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Rabbit polyclonal TNP antibody.
Biological Significance: TNP is an unique uncoupler of oxidative phosphorylation. Unlike the commonly used uncouplers (e.g., 2,4-dinitrophenol (DNP), pentachlorophenol, m-chlorocarbonylcyanide phenylhydrazone, and 5-chloro-3-t-butyl-2\'-chloro-4\'-nitrosalicylanilide), TNP seems to penetrate the mitochondrial inner membrane very slowly. Consequently, it is ineffective when added to intact mitochondria or to mitochondria depleted of their outer membranes. Biohazard Information: This product contains 0.05 % sodium azide as a preservative, appropriate care should be taken in handling.
Immunogen: TNP conjugated to Phycoerythrin. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing TNP are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as TNP may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
