|The TRAIL n/a (Catalog #MBS535840) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The TRAIL antibody reacts with Human TRAIL and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s TRAIL can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Inhibition, Western Blot (WB).
ELISA: 0.5-2 ug/ml
Inhibition: 150 ng/ml
WB: 0.1-0.2 ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TRAIL n/a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.

Affinity purified Rabbit polyclonal TRAIL antibody.
Biological Significance: TRAIL is a cytotoxic protein, which activates rapid apoptosis in tumor cells, but not in normal cells. TRAIL induced apoptosis is achieved through binding to two death-signaling receptors, DR4 and DR5. These receptors belong to the TNFR superfamily of transmembrane proteins and contain a cytoplasmic ?death domain?, which activates the cell?s apoptotic machinery. Immunogen: TRAIL antibody was raised in rabbit using highly pure recombinant human TRAIL/Apo2L as the immunogen. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing TRAIL are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as TRAIL may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
