The TRESK kcnk18 (Catalog #MBS9408823) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The TRESK Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s TRESK can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TRESK kcnk18 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.

The TRESK kcnk18 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #32469495) (NCBI Accession #NP_862823). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the TRESK Antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western blot analysis of TRESK in rat brain tissue lysate with TRESK antibody at (A) 1 and (B) 2 ug/mL.)
Western Blot (WB) TRESK.

Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Immunohistochemistry of TRESK in rat brain tissue with TRESK antibody at 5 ug/mL.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) TRESK.

TRESK (TWIK-related spinal cord K+ channel) is a two-pore domain K+ channel that induces outward rectification and functions as a background K+ channel that is abundantly expressed in the spinal cord, thymus, spleen, and leukemic T-lymphocytes. TRESK is activated by increased cytoplasmic calcium concentration through calcineurin as well as by acetylcholine and histamine. It has been suggested that TRESK is linked to acute and chronic pain by activation of calcineurin. Other studies indicate that TRESK may play a role in the regulation of T-cell function and could be an excellent target to treat T-cell originated immune dysfunction.

Immunogen Type: Peptide
Immunogen Description: Raised against a 17 amino acid peptide from near the center of human TRESK. Target Name: TRESK. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing TRESK are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as TRESK may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. TRESK also interacts with the following gene(s): ATP1A2, KCNK12, KCNK13, MARK2, SCN1A, TRPM8. Fatty Liver, Immune System Diseases, Migraine Disorders are some of the diseases may be linked to TRESK Antibody. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene.
