Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the TSC1 Antibody (Center T417) with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (TSC1 Antibody (Center T417) western blot analysis in SK-BR-3 cell line lysates (35ug/lane).This demonstrates the TSC1 antibody detected the TSC1 protein (arrow).)
In complex with TSC2, inhibits the nutrient-mediated or growth factor-stimulated phosphorylation of S6K1 and EIF4EBP1 by negatively regulating mTORC1 signaling. Seems not to be required for TSC2 GAP activity towards RHEB. Implicated as a tumor suppressor. Involved in microtubule-mediated protein transport, but this seems to be due to unregulated mTOR signaling.
Antigen Type: Synthetic Peptide. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing TSC1 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as TSC1 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
