|The TUBB tubb3 (Catalog #MBS856731) is an Antibody and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Beta-Tubulin Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Beta-Tubulin can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB).
WB: 1:2,000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TUBB tubb3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The TUBB tubb3 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #308235963) (NCBI Accession #NP_001184110.1) (Uniprot Accession #Q13509). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the Beta-Tubulin Antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Tubulin is one of several members of a small family of globular proteins. The most common members of the tubulin family are alpha-tubulin and beta-tubulin. The beta-tubulin (relative molecular weight about 50 kDa) is counterpart of alpha-tubulin in tubulin heterodimer, it is coded by multiple tubulin genes and it is also posttranslationally modified. Heterogeneity of subunit is concentrated in C-terminal structural domain. Beta-Tubulin may have bound GTP or GDP. Under certain conditions beta-tubulin can hydrolyze its bound GTP to GDP plus Pi, release the Pi, and exchange the GDP for GTP.
Preservative: 0.05% Sodium Azide.
Cellular Localization: Microtubule. Positive Control: Hela. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing TUBB are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as TUBB may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Brain, Embryonic Tissue, Eye, Heart, Lung, Lymph, Lymph Node, Muscle, Nerve, Testis tissues are correlated with this protein. Brain Diseases, Breast Neoplasms, Carcinoma, Squamous Cell, Eye Diseases, Fibrosis, Fibrosis Of Extraocular Muscles, Congenital, 3A, with or without Extraocular Involvement, Neoplasms, Neoplasms, Experimental, Nervous System Diseases, Ovarian Neoplasms are some of the diseases may be linked to Beta-Tubulin Antibody.
