The XRCC5 xrcc5 (Catalog #MBS6002974) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The XRCC5, ID (K439) (XRCC5, G22P2, X-ray repair cross-complementing protein 5, 86kD subunit of Ku antigen, ATP-dependent DNA helicase 2 subunit 2, ATP-dependent DNA helicase II 80kD subunit, CTC box-binding factor 85kD subunit, DNA repair protein XRCC5, Ku80 reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s XRCC5 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), Immunofluorescence (IF).Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, Flow Cytometry, ELISA
Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000
Western Blot: 1:100-500
Immunofluorescence: 1:10-50
Flow Cytometry: 1:10-50. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the XRCC5 xrcc5 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The XRCC5 xrcc5 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #10863945) (NCBI Accession #NP_066964.1) (Uniprot Accession #P13010). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the XRCC5, ID (K439) (XRCC5, G22P2, X-ray repair cross-complementing protein 5, 86kD subunit of Ku antigen, ATP-dependent DNA helicase 2 subunit 2, ATP-dependent DNA helicase II 80kD subunit, CTC box-binding factor 85kD subunit, DNA repair protein XRCC5, Ku80 with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western Blot analysis in human placenta tissue lysates (35ug/lane) using MBS6002974. This demonstrates that MBS6002974 detected the XRCC5 protein (arrow).)
Western Blot (WB) (Western Blot analysis using MBS6002974 at 1:1000 dilution Lane 1: A549 whole cell lysate Lane 2: Hela whole cell lysate Lysates/proteins at 20ug per lane. Secondary IgG (HRP) Goat Anti-Rabbit at 1:10000 dilution. Predicted band size: 83kD Blocking/Dilution buffer: 5% NFDM/TBST.)
Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS) (Flow Cytometric analysis of Jurkat cells using MBS6002974 (right histogram) compared to a negative control cell (left histogram). FITC-conjugated donkey-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.)
The protein encoded by this gene is the 80-kilodalton subunit of the Ku heterodimer protein which is also known as ATP-dependant DNA helicase II or DNA repair protein XRCC5. Ku is the DNA-binding component of the DNA-dependent protein kinase, and it functions together with the DNA ligase IV-XRCC4 complex in the repair of DNA double-strand break by non-homologous end joining and the completion of V(D)J recombination events. This gene functionally complements Chinese hamster xrs-6, a mutant defective in DNA double-strand break repair and in ability to undergo V(D)J recombination. A rare microsatellite polymorphism in this gene is associated with cancer in patients of varying radiosensitivity.
