|The YY1 yy1 (Catalog #MBS9204427) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The YY1 Antibody (Center) reacts with Human, mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s YY1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC).
WB~~1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the YY1 yy1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The YY1 yy1 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #4507955) (NCBI Accession #NP_003394.1) (Uniprot Accession #P25490). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the YY1 Antibody (Center) with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western blot analysis of anti-YY1 Ctr Pab in HL60 cell lysate (lane 1) and in mouse kidney tissue lysate (lane 2). YY1 (arrow) was detected using purified Pab. Secondary HRP-anti-rabbit was used for signal visualization with chemiluminescence.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human cancer tissue reacted with the primary antibody, which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated. BC = breast carcinoma; HC = hepatocarcinoma.)
YY1 is an ubiquitously distributed transcription factor belonging to the GLI-Kruppel class of zinc finger proteins. The protein is involved in repressing and activating a diverse number of promoters. YY1 may direct histone deacetylases and histone acetyltransferases to a promoter in order to activate or repress the promoter, thus implicating histone modification in the function of YY1.
Antigen Type: Synthetic Peptide. Antigen Source: HUMAN. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing YY1 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as YY1 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Cell Transformation, Neoplastic, Disease Models, Animal, Disease Progression, Inflammation, Liver Diseases, Liver Neoplasms, Necrosis, Neoplasm Metastasis, Nervous System Diseases, Uterine Cervical Neoplasms are some of the diseases may be linked to YY1 Antibody (Center). YY1 also interacts with the following gene(s): EP300, EZH2, HDAC1, HDAC2, HDAC3, INO80, KAT2B, MDM2, RYBP, TP53.
